State of Play: Playground Infrastructure in 20 Major U.S. Cities
We compared the number of playgrounds in each major U.S. city to the percentage of the population in those cities who are most likely to use them: kids nine and under. The top 10 and bottom 10 cities for playground infrastructure are included in the resulting graph. Cities toward the top left have the most playgrounds for the smallest percentage of kids, while cities toward the bottom right have the fewest playgrounds for the largest percentage of kids.
