The Lost Neon Signs of Las Vegas
Via TheAtlantic.com's Video channel, check out this gorgeously restored 16mm vacation film, circa 1962, which captures many of Las Vegas's most famous neon signs of the era. The whole thing was filmed on Kodachrome by the grandparents of Jeff Altman, a Chicago-based film colorist who has since restored the print and uploaded it to Vimeo.

While one or two of the signs featured in the film are still visible in Vegas today, most aren't, as anyone who's paid a visit to the city's Neon Boneyard can attest.
