• A limo company gave out 10,000 boxes of free Thanksgiving dinners.
• The airport's traffic control offers have received special training that mandates they greet every idling driver with a smile before asking them to move their cars.
• A City Councilman proposes a ban on medical marijuana dispensaries.
• Officials offered Occupy L.A. a $1-a-year lease on a 10,000-square-foot office space near City Hall, land for farming and housing for the homeless as part of an effort to get the protesters to decamp.
