Postcard From Barcelona

In Barcelona:

• Firefighters gathered to protest spending cuts for public service, part of the proposed Eurozone deal.
• A design firm unveiled a new concept for a hotel lobby - the lobby as "living room." The aim is to create  a place for "creative people to converse, debate and exchange."
• Children decorate the "poop log" - a piece of wood with a smiley face - and prepare to hit him open, pinata-style, on Christmas Eve or Christmas day.
• Visitors flock to the Sagrada Familia, the site of Gaudi's famous nativity scene church.
