Postcard From Seville

Easter Week is a striking affair in Seville. Hundreds from the penitent "La Candelaria" brotherhood march to Seville from their home churches (some as far as 14 hours away). The processors are cloaked in pointy hats and long robes and often accompanied by floats that depict scenes from the Passion.

Unfortunately, many of yesterday's walks were canceled due to rain. Luckily, there are more than 60 marches throughout the week. The most popular sets out on Holy Thursday, reaching the Cathedral of Seville at dawn on Good Friday.
