Tiny Space of the Day: A Miniature Parisian Restaurant
For a long time, Parisians turned their noses up at chef Rachel Khoo. And it's not just because she's British.
The French-trained Khoo once ran Paris's smallest restaurant out of her jewel-box kitchen. At Khoo's disposal: a hotplate-sized two burner cook top and an oven that looks more like a toaster-oven. "You do what you have to do to make your kitchen work," Khoo says in a film clip while rolling out pastry on a counter she made herself.
Khoo used to serve lunch to two people every Wednesday and Saturday in this pop-up style home bistro. It was such a hit that Khoo is now on hiatus - she's filming her own television show and wrote a cookbook.
