Travel Advice of the Day: Head to Las Vegas, or Hanoi
Looking for an inexpensive summer getaway? Las Vegas is the cheapest city for domestic travelers, followed by Dallas, New Orleans, and Atlanta.
That intel comes courtesy a new report out by Trip Advisor. The metric ranked key vacation cities based on the average combined cost for two of a one-night stay in a four-star hotel, one cocktail per person, a two-course dinner (bottle of wine included, naturally), and round-trip taxi transportation.
Worldwide, Hanoi, Vietnam, is your best bet (just $141 for two people!). Budapest is the place to go in Europe ($194 for two).
For those hoping to lap up some luxury, New York ranks as the costliest U.S. city ($457). Boston clocks in just under at $450. London, this summer's Olympic host, is the priciest international city for American tourists ($518 for two). Oslo, Stockholm, Paris, and Zurich round out the top five. Sydney and Singapore also make the top ten.
