Video of the Day: Virtual Tiger Prowls the City

The video above, via The Atlantic Video channel, puts a new twist in the phrase "urban jungle." In Wildlife, an art installation by Karolina Sobecka, a tiger "runs" along a building facade to compete with passing cars. A sensor detects the speed of the car's wheels and projects the animal moving at the same speed. The prowling feline stops when the car does the same.

As Sobecka describes the work: "The viewers are elevated from the everyday reality through this element of fantasy into a world with more dimensions, possibilities and perhaps beauty." Read a full interview with Sobecka here.
