Absurd Traffic Obstacle of the Day: The Minneapolis Bike Matador
As if red lights weren't bad enough, bikers in Minneapolis now have to deal with a red flag-wielding matador.
This silliness is via the Carmichael Collective, an offshoot of the Minneapolis-based advertising company Carmichael Lynch. CC posted a Pedro Romero lookalike -- the "Bike Matador" -- alongside bike paths to shake his red banner at Twin Cities bikers. No bikes, it seems, were harmed.
The project isn't an advertisement, though it does offer some of the same absurdity that characterizes the company's campaigns, like the Sasquatch ads for Jack Links Beef Jerky.
