Commute of the Day: The Length of the Lincoln Tunnel in an F1 Race Car
Nothing like a Lincoln Tunnel Novelty Run. First, elephants. Now this.
Formula 1 team Red Bull Racing somehow ($) managed to convince the Port Authority to close the tunnel between New Jersey and midtown Manhattan so that they could drive the RB7 from Weehawken to 34th Street and back. It probably didn't take very long -- this is the same car that races in the Monaco Grand Prix. Here's to hoping that the next time we see race cars in the Lincoln Tunnel, it's the New York Grand Prix and not just an advertisement.
Just listen to that hum.
