Creative Skyscraper Use of the Day: A Giant Game of Pong
If you were getting ready for Saturday's 4/20 festivities a day early, Philadelphia was a great place to be.
On the side of the 27-story Cira Center last Friday night, Drexel professor Frank Lee designed what may be the world's biggest game of pong. From the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, players could see their moves in the classic arcade game displayed in lights on the building's massive glass facade.
According to the local CBS affiliate, hundreds of people had signed up to play as soon as the game was announced. Lee is the co-founder and co-director of Drexel's Game Design program, one of the nation's top programs for video game design.
