Portland Product of the Day: An Artisan .GIF Maker

Add this to the long list of hand-crafted, charming, and very unnecessary products out of Portland, Oregon.

Local artist Joe Freedman has created a "Two Foto Animator" that works like a hand-powered .GIF, only before the Internet. Like any good PDX artisan, Freedman used cherry and walnut hardwood from from the States and finished the wood with organic flaxseed oil. All of it is lasercut in his own Portland studio.

Freedman reached his Kickstarter goal in just one day, which means he can now focus more on the packaging. According to the product page, he will be designing "a beautiful paper box with a wood base to hold the Animator."
