Modern-Day Travis Bickle Makes a Sleeve Gun For His iPhone

Ladies, restrain yourselves. What you're about to see could cause thudding heart palpitations, shortness of breath and an unbearable desire to jump in bed with a total stranger.

Meet Morishowta, a Japanese tinkerer who's built himself a sliding sleeve holster for his gun. Wait, that was actually Robert De Niro in Taxi Driver, and Christoph Waltz in Django Unchained, and that babyheaded gun thug from Justified. Morishowta's crafted a sleeve holster for his iPhone, which allows him in the blink of an eye to get your number for a dinner date at his place with candles, champagne and an extraordinarily creepy child doll that for some reason lurks in the corner of his room.

Where's your boarding pass, sir? Swishclick. Oh, it was here on your phone all along! Do you know the way to the coffee shop? Swishclick. How are you already talking to Siri? Pardon, can I ask you... Swishclick – thud. Ow – a cellphone just flew out of your shirt and hit me in the eye!

Morishowta, who describes himself as a "performer" on his website, seems quite aware how ridiculous this accessory is, and no doubt built it to explore the comedic potential. Thus he leaves in all the awkwardness and bloopers in his demo videos, like the unintentional missile launch at 0:50 in the simply awesome footage below. Peep those dual leg holsters!
