In Aksu, a city in the Uighur Autonomous Region of China, two women disassemble an old building in a residential neighborhood. The city once had a red-hot housing market. That has changed over the last two years, as Chinese officials tightened lending standards. Lending dropped 54 percent from the same time last year.
