Election Day in Cairo
Across Cairo, Egyptians will cast their vote in today's historic presidential election. Thirteen candidates are running, and they've been campaigning across the city. Al Jazeera reports long lines in Cairo's city center, as voters came out early to avoid the midday heat. In other parts of the city, polling stations are quieter, and action will likely pick up once work lets out.
